Sead and Semso Velic are two of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
I always felt compelled to make sure that they were charging me enough (not an experience I encounter with many services,
and something I've never encountered in the construction industry).
Their attention to detail is great, and they can do just about
anything. They are incredibly talented craftsmen, and have great pride in their work. They did an incredible job
on our hardwood floors--one of the hardest things to do perfectly in construction.
They neither charge an arm and a leg, nor do they nickel and dime
you (like most contractors do). I've always felt that I was somehow getting the better side of the deal at every step.
A few of the pictures in their portfolio are of my house in Lafayette
(which was not quite a tear-down), and they've also done work on my office in San
Francisco. They did everything; even took over when the pool contractor disappeared. I have not yet found
a task that is too large or too small for them--they really like making things work.

The Velic construction worked for me on an extensive remodeling project involving updating the original structure and
two additions from foundation to the rooftop, including the roofing. Their ability to understand and interpret all details
of the architectural and structural drawings was exceptional as was the ease with which they were able to interact with all
design professionals. The project included foundation, framing, sheet rock, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, intricate tile
work, hardwood flooring, cabinet installation, exterior stucco and painting. Building inspection permit requirements
were heeded and compliance was never a problem.
They are able to work independently or in close contact with the owner or design professional, allowing the owner to
contribute as much or little as desirable, in the decision making process.
